Wingard's Wicked Stangs

Welcome to the online home of Jerry & Michelle's Stangs! This page is about our 2 1995 Mustang GTs, our 1991 LX, and our newest Stang, a 1989 LX 5.0 convertible. Most of our free time is devoted to building and modifying the cars. We've been at it for a while, but as any true Stanger knows, it's a neverending project!

Here's a brief on KILLER B......KB belongs to Jerry. The car was bought new in October 1994 and has a whopping 26,000 miles on the clock. Before the car even had 5,000 miles, he outfitted it with a 10 psi Kenne Bell Whipplecharger, 3.55 gears, 24# injectors, Southside bars, Crane ignition, Off-road H and 2 chamber Flowmasters. Since then, he has added a complete Cobra body kit, along with 1996 taillights, Cobra headlights, a Cervini Stalker hood, and Cervini side scoops. The car was on the cover of MM&FF in March 1998, and they did a really nice feature on it. It is used mostly for show purposes, and has never been to a track, but he's planning on heads and cam, just so he can "whoop ass on the street"

Here's the low-down on 1SLOWGT. The car belongs to me (Michelle) and was purchased new in January 1996, as a "left-over" '95. It was bone stock for a few months, then we started a slow-paced build-up. The first mod was 2 chamber Flows. Next was an off-road h, followed by GT-40 iron heads, E-303 cam, 3.55 gears, and a Cobra Intake. We recently swapped out the 3.55s in favor of "beefier" 4.10s, which made a big difference @ the track. The best pass stock was a 14.604 @ 94.98 MPH. After the heads/cam/intake/gears, it turned a 13.672@100.42 MPH. After the 4.10s, it ran an all time best of 13.496 @ 102.48 MPH!! In April, we added BFG drag radials, Weld pro Star rims, and 90/10 struts paired with 50/50 shocks. We also had the GT40s worked. We had 1.94 intake valves cut in, had the heads milled .020 to raise compression (approx. 9.35:1), and Jerry extensively ported the heads. This resulted in a 12.993 @ 106.65 in the 1/4!! (see timeslip in "What's new" section. We have alot planned for the down season, so check back often to get the Five-O-Low Down!! :)

Here's the skinny on the 1991 LX. We bought the car used in February 2001. With 74,900 miles on the clock, the car was a basket case. It was equipped with a tired AOD, and the motor smoked profusely. The paint job was less than pleasing, and the interior was pretty shabby as well. Jerry chose the 91 because it was identical to the one his late father shared with him and later sold. Be sure to see the 91 LX page for complete pics and details of the restoration, as completed by Jerry and his good friend Ralph Nicholas.

The 1989 LX convertible is our newest addition to the Stang family. The car was purchased on 09/09/02, with 15,300 (not a typo) miles on the clock. It is literally the cleanest car we've ever seen. Owned by an older couple, the car was never modified, and still had the stock air silencer in place the day it was delivered to us. We have no future plans for the car, as it's just too clean to mess with. The only change we've made are the addition of Y2K Cobra R rims.
